Casal da Fonte is located in a small and historic village in Ribatejo, Vale do Paraíso: Land of Encounters. Land of Passions.
It was in Vale do Paraíso that King D. João II met a Lady of the Kingdom with whom he fell in love.
Christopher Columbus came here to tell D. João II that he had discovered America.
We too are passionate about the land. About the stories told by our grandparents. About the great things they did with so little they had. The values they passed on, the respect for what grows on the land.
Our production is based on the tradition passed down by our ancestors combined with modernity and the knowledge of new generations.
We focus our production on national and traditional grape varieties, believing in their characteristics and potential: Fernão Pires, Arinto, Trincadeira, Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Castelão. The final product translates into wines with character, full of flavor and aroma.
For us, wine is synonymous with joy, togetherness and happiness. We immediately think of the grape harvest, which was a family reunion. It was a celebration. Casal da Fonte was born out of passion, so we try to incorporate what we experienced and what was passed on to us into what we do.
